  John Thomas Winskas  Attended Event :  Wednesday, May 28th, 7:00pm ESAR General Meeting, 9530 Nims Lane, Pensacola, Fl, 32534  Took bus to Regions bank & 9 mile rd. Walked to Escambia Search & Rescue Building for meeting Greeted at the door Talked to Jeremy about ESAR backround check and status of membership Jeremy confirmed that I passed my background check and was able to start participating at ESAR as a member. Talked to Johnny again (Interim Team Leader/Commander of ESAR Comms), Johnny asked me for my FCC amateur Radio Call sign KR4DYC for the FFARA field day shirts (on I believe June 19th?).  I still need to give him the 22$ dollars that he mentioned were the cost of the shirts I will try to get the money to him by the FFARA club meeting next week if possible!    John Thomas Winskas  Missed Event : Missed Event-May 26th 12:00 PM-1:00PM  - A merican Red Cross  Northwest Florida Chapter all staff meeting, virtual event, Couldn't join meeting due to what I believe to be a browser issue, had the same issue with my Opening Doors of NWFL COC meeting; the microsoft teams browser app stated "you are early to the meeting waiting to join". When I tried the microsoft teams application there was no such error and I was able to join the meeting. Microsoft teams meeting might have to be attended through the application to avoid this technical glitch/ error.

  John Thomas Winskas  Attended Event : Attended Event- May 23rd, 2025 01:30 PM-03:30PM-PNS Shelter Site Visit to PNS Bay Center,  Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory Street, Pensacola, FL. Walked/Jogged to Pensacola Bay Center at 12:00pm for what I believed to be a 12:30pm-2:30pm event. ( as when I added the calendar event from the Red Cross Website the calendar event appeared on the calendar as 12:30pm to 2:30pm). Texted Mrs. Kelly Banks during transit (American Red Cross Event Lead) about maybe running late to the 12:30pm event She texted me back mentioning that the event was scheduled for 1:30pm. I got to the Pensacola Bay Center around 12:30pm and after reading the Pensacola Bay Center Dedication plaque, visited the ticket office at the main entrance. I spoke to a Pensacola Bay Center employee at the ticket window asking her if anyone from the American Red Cross had shown up yet. she responded that the wasn't aware if they had shown up or not yet and asked me to wai...

Learned about Appropriate Traffic Control Clothing. Learned about Traffic Control Safety techniques. Learned the Traffic Control hand signals, stop, continue, right, left, and slow down. Learned how to work with a traffic control partner- best practices. Leaned about upcoming traffic control opportunities. Got a reflector & whistle from BRACE for traffic control opportunities. Thank you to BRACE, Escambia County Public Safety, Escambia County ARES (Elmersnet-148.76 and Wiley rascals), the FFARA amateur Radio Club, the FCC, and the License exam Administrator's and all the instructors involved in the FFARA Basic two-way radio communications, amateur radio technicians license course for all of your instruction and knowledge that you have shared with me.
