Please join us in Disaster Action Team Response Fundamentals Training. This course will be taught in-person at the Northeast Florida Office in Gainesville, all trainees in this area are to attend in-person for the training, local program guidance, and to meet your fellow responders. The course is open virtually to the rest of the Region so our fellow DAT responders out of driving distance can obtain the requirement for promotion. 

CENTRAL TIME: 5:00pm- 7:00pm , EASTERN TIME 6:00pm-8:00pm

The purpose of this course is to prepare participants to respond safely on-scene to local disasters as a member of a Disaster Action Team (DAT). It is designed to orient prospective DAT volunteers to engage in the DAT mission as a valuable member of a team as quickly as possible. This course is required for all DAT responders to promote into the Specialist role and progress into client intake.

 February, 6th 2025- Opening Doors of NWFL Flyer/Newsletter. Picked up flyers from Martika of Opening Doors of NWFL. Walked around Easthill Neighborhood and to Bayview Senior Center/dog park/ Bayview Rec Center to post flyers.  I wasn't able to get a ride up to the college/ make it up to the PSC career fair. I ended up alking around the east hill neighborhood and handing out the flyers to my neighbors. Walked to the bayview Senior Centet I followed up with Judy (The Receptionist) at the  Bayview Senior Center  who I met this morning and gave her 10 Pamphlets for the bulletin board/ tables at the senior center pending approval from the Bayview Senior Center Director. I also gave Judy a flyer with my contact info this morning and gave her another flyer with Martika's', mine, and Mrs. Keieks email addresses written on the flyer.
