- Walked 3 miles to Juneteenth Unity Fest
- Arrived at event around 11:15am
- Tabled Escarosa Suicide Prevention Coalition tent with Rachelle Burns (Rachelle took donations from Unity fest attendees).
- 988 suicide prevention magnets, stickers, wrist bands, and information pamphlets were available for attendees of the event
- Rachelle explained the Escarosa Suicide Prevention Coalition's mission, purpose and the organizations that make up the coalition such as NAMI.
- Rachelle explained her roles & responsibilities as Chair of the Escarosa Suicided prevention Coalition.
- Ate a giant piece of watermelon, a tangerine, powerade and stayed hydrated (had 3-4 cups of water) from the UnityFest event tables & staff while tableing the event!
- Learned about The Mission Anglican Church and about discipling or what a disciple is from Rachelle.
- Met Tarita around 1:45pm and she mentioned a couple upcoming events.
- Took magnets, pamphlets, stickers, Bracelets & information to disperse to the community
- Learned from Hammer of Jaylas Voice about the importance of Narcan and issues with opiate addiction.
- Collected Items & information from vendor tables.
- Got a bag from Community Health and Troy Rafferty "The Peoples Voice" (and a cup and two fans)
- Ate another giant piece of watermelon, 1 bag of popcorn, and 2-3oz ice creams from the Juneteenth Unityfest free refreshment vendor- (added 1 of the a 3 oz ice cream to the sliced apple & butter syrup dipping sauce I brought with me)!
- Organized Items and pamphlets I collected from the Juneteenth vendors and added information to 2 care packets (each had toiletries, sunscreen, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, and body wash I put a pen in one of them, and put some tissues from the library in another; including the Lakeview Mobile Response team, emergency health information, what to do in an accident information, a 988-suicide prevention hotline magnet, & sticker, and other available resources!
- walked home 3 miles from the event
- Put a couple 988 suicide prevention hotline magnets up on the garbage can at the skate park along with a 988 suicide prevent wrist band, an Escarosa Suicide Prevention Coalition Pamphlet, and a september 20th, 2025 Pensacola Out of The Darkness walk information packet.
- Got caught in the thunderstorm/rain while double checking the care packet and adding information to them and took shelter for about an hour (or hour and a half)
- Ate the apple and tangerine I took from mom & Dad's fridge before I left to volunteer
- Did 20 pushups, 50 bicycle crunches, 50 glute raises, and a bridge while waiting for the thunderstorm to pass.
- Added two red cross cards to the care packets collected from the Juneteenth-Unityfest and left them at the old station just incase people needed them (along with a bottle of water and the powerade I received from the Juneteenth unity-fest staff).
- I still have to look at everything/inventory the items I collected from the vendors at the event; and will be dispersing the information packets, pamphlets and items whenever I get the chance.
