- got a ride to the Milton community center by Kelly Banks at 8:00am,
- Arrived at the Community center at around 9:00am
- carried the ARC document bin for kelly into the building,
- Spoke with a cert two-way radio operator while walking in the door,
- Skipped the training sign-in sheet as I was carrying the documents case and was following kelly to help her set-up
- laura Porritt checked me in/ filled out the shelter training sign in sheet for me ,
- Duke, Norm, Kelly, other ARC Staff, and local Milton emergency management staff trained/taught about
- Shelter procedures and rules for volunteers and disaster victims,
- American Red Cross Supply trailer was shown (ate a package of 6 peanut butter crackers while the trailer was being shown),
- took 2 packs of peanut butter cracker, a belvita cracker, a bag of cheeze-its, and two bottles of water to hand out- drank two bottle of water while at the simulation),
- The Milton Emergency manager spoke about
- ways for the local community to get involved and how to contact the Santa Rosa Emergency management department
- lunch was provided from sonny's; had a chicken sandwhich, a spoonful of macoroni & cheese, a spoonful of coleslaw, & a spoonful or two of baked beans, (made a second sandwhich and took home for dad).
- After lunch 1 cpr kit and 1 spray container of expired Narcan was given to Shelter training attendees
- a Narcan practice session was given and shelter attendees all sprayed narcan into the air so they could know how much narcan was released and what pushing the narcan button did.
- Boxes of Narcan were provided from the American Red Cross.
- Got a ride to the ESAR building from Kelly, she drove into the Buddhist temple parking lot before turning around and dropping me off at the ESAR building.
