  • Took bus to ARC PNS Chapter building
    • jogged to bus stop
    • took bus/buses to copter rd.
    • Jogged to ARC PNS Chapter building
  • Arrived at the ARC PNS Chapter building around 8:15am and Signed in.
    • Put some popcorn in a tray along with the peanutbutter 1/2 balls to share with other volunteers.
  • Met Duke & Edwin in the conference room
    • Talked to Duke about the Shelter Simulation Friday ( he instructed me not to attend).
      • He mentioned they might move it to WFRM.
    • Talked to Edwin about the possibility of finishing up my onboarding DAT calls/ riding along on DAT calls.
  • Attended meeting.
  • Met with ARC business OPS volunteer and learned about a few of the business ops roles that where hours might be available for an hour or so.
  • Met with D from volunteer services and asked a question about being put back on standby after missing a text from the ARC asking me to update my standby status for ARC deployments. 
    • saw the text I missed from the ARC after i asked D about how to update my status back to being on standby as it is hurricane season.
    • I was able to respond to the text and hopefully my deployment status is correct will need to confirm this at a later time/date.
  • Got a ride home from dad (gave him 5$ for the ride home).

I might have to head Preston and Robin's warning and disinvite myself from the "Her-icane" training at the escambia county public safety building. John Thomas Winskas Volunteered at  Event : Volunteered at Event:  Saturday, June 14⋅8:00am – 12:30pm, American Red Cross NWFL FPL Community Storm Expo & Touch-a-Truck Saturday, - FPL, 1 Energy Pl, Pensacola, FL 32520. Volunteered and tabled the American Red Cross Tent, alongside Terri Jenkins, Duke Pruitt and Laura Pruitt at the NWFL FPL Community Storm Expo & Touch-a-Truck event at  FPL, 1 Energy Pl, Pensacola, FL 32520. Handed out close to 40 American Red Cross posters, hurricane preparedness packets (hurricane kit preparedness facemasks, Soap, & pens). The table had information on the American Red Cross Free Fire Alarm installation program (in partner-ship with the Local fire departments), volunteer sign-up information sheets, upcoming Veteran support information sessions, and upcoming CPR & First aid training from the American Red Cross among others.
