  • Transit
    • Jogged to bus stop route 45
      • bus left at around 9:30 am
    • took bus to copter rd.
    • Jogged to american Red Cross nwfl Pensacola Chapter building
      • arrived at around 10:15am
  • Changed Clothes from jogging clothes after arriving
  • put no bake 1/2 balls I brought with me in the kitchen/cafeteria for everyone to have (cloves were a bit strong in this batch). 
  • Met with Terri
    • checked to make sure ladder was still in the outside storage closet
    • moved paper from trunk of American Red Cross vehicle to supply closet storage
    • looked for APC backup battery that had gone missing in the training room bathrooms, business ops closet, and logistics closet

  • Set out signs for the Blood Drive.
  • Assisted the phlebotomy team with 
    •  Unloading the MRV.
    • Set out the drinks and snack tote on the snack/recovery table.
    • Unfolded and set up the ARC medical/blood donation beds.
    • Was instructed again in how to and assisted in setting up the blood donation machines on the sides of the medical beds.
    • moved empty carts out of the way
    • setting up chairs & moving tables
  • After setting up checked with rodger and Terri at 11:30am to see if they needed anything before the blood drive at 12:00pm

    • Helped Charles check the turn indicators and break lights of an American Red Cross vehicle (MRV?)
    • vacuumed debris from floor that fell from the ceiling (looked like a mouse or rat ate it).
  • Returned to the training room around 12:00pm for my Blood Donor Ambassador shift.
    • Joy was at the blood donor ambassador table helping to check in early donors after I came back to the training room from helping Rodger and Terri.
    • Relieved Joy of check in duties and thanked her for helping check in the early donors while I was busy helping the ARC staff and volunteers.
    • Completed blood donor ambassador shift/duties from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
  • Assisted Phlebotomy team with packing up Equipment and loading it into the MRV
    • Accidently broke an aluminum handle of the medical bed cart while pulling it up the ramp.
  • Checked outside closet to make sure it was locked before leaving.
  • Had D lock the front door behind me.
  • Got a ride home from dad.

Sonny updated the comms team on upcoming training to be requested first aid, cpr, knot tieing/rope tying ect. Sonny asked that we request training and mentioned that Jeremy will update the calendar with the upcoming training after the ESAR members request training. Attended ESAR members meeting. Clint updated ESAR members about upcoming events Spoke to Jeremy about maybe attending to KOC Ball as I wasn't sure If I would be deploying with the American Red Cross Jeremy said to contact him by Friday evening ( I wasn't able to reach out until Saturday morning).

Attened Event:  Thursday, July 17th 2025 at (800-1200); 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, ESAR Volunteer- Pilots appreciation dinner Prep; 9530 Nims Ln, Pensacola, FL 32534, USA Jim Harrison Picked me up around 8:00am Arrived at ESAR facility and ate a hashbrown Started Pilots appreciation dinner set-up Moved chairs to the sides of the assembly room Moved table away from walls  eve and marti used the shop-vac to vacuum the building & cleaned the bathrooms. Mopped floors of the ESAR building while unpacking table unfolded 5-8 Tables for Pilots Appreciation dinner set-up moved table into a "U" pattern for Pilots appreciation dinner placed plastic table clothes on tables Taste tested  hushpuppies fried fish Brought brownies for Jim, Eve, Marti, and Simon to try. Got a ride to American Red Cross NWFL pensacola chapter building from Jim Harrison.

  John Thomas Winskas  Attended Event :   Saturday,  August 2, 2025 at 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM, EscaReady Class, Hillcrest,Church | Nine Mile, 800 E 9 Mile Rd,  Event Canceled - chua dieu de bhuddist temple, ESAR building, and Hadji Temple; Pensacola, FL 32514, USA; Jogged to lloyd & 6th looked at phone & turned around and walked/Jogged to route 32 bus stop after a glitch in the software made changed the google map leave by/ arrive by setting in the app. Waited at 9th & lloyd for the route 32 bus took route 32 bus and route 50 bus to nine mile rd. & palafox Jogged to Hillcrest Church for the Escaready class met Adam (a hillcrest church member) who said the BRACE event was cancelled and that no staff showed up. Called Carolyn Clages, Caroline Gray, and Preston Marvel None of the Brace staff responded Started to jog to the ESAR building turned around and waited at the Hillcrest Church door until 10:15am.
